Occupational therapy is a play and activities based approach to healing. Elizabeth’s sessions focus on practical sensory based strategies (via the tactile, proprioceptive, vestibular and interoceptive systems) to help children and adults to regulate their nervous systems through a range of exercises that help bring the body into balance. She also uses the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding, to help children to develop oral motor skills and curiosity toward novel and non-preferred foods. As an OT, Elizabeth has experience working with picky eaters, emotional and behavioral problems, stroke recovery (adults), and symptoms associated with rare genetic disorders, CP, ASD, ADD/HD, depression and anxiety.
